Kyloe Cottage is named after Kyloe copper mine, which was located at the foot of Mount Cobrabald which is directly across Lake Eucumbene. The mine operated until 1913, remnants of building and the pit still remain. The word “kyloe” means cattle in the Scottish Gaelic language.
Yens Cottage aspect is towards Yens Bay, a renowned fly fishing spot. The Yens (or Yans) were early store holders during the Kiandra Gold Rush days. In later years the family had land holdings near Yens Bay. The Old Adaminaby pioneer cemetery is also located on the southern edge of Yens Bay.
These 2 bedroom units have gas heating, full kitchens, laundry and sleep up to 4 guests each over 2 single beds and a queen bed. Other bedding configurations can be arranged on request.
